"A Zeta Reticulan is an alien from the star system known as Zeta Reticuli. The only known Zeta Reticulans were reported by Betty and Barney Hill when they were allegedly abducted by the Zeta Reticulans in a UFO. They are described as being slightly more human-like than an average Grey however. They have eyes described as all black with no pupils or iris. They have large heads with no hair at all and have small and hard to see ear-like bumps on the sides of their heads. Origin 
There is not much known of these particular aliens. The only evidence of the Zeta Reticulans coming from the star system Zeta Reticuli is Betty Hill who claims that while she was being examined by one of the aliens during her abduction, she asked the alien what planet it and the others that were on board the UFO were from. Betty claims that the alien showed her a star map of the Zeta Reticuli star system which was not discovered until after the Hills' alleged abduction. "They are very science oriented and share more of a group mind, and are not as individualistic as we are on Earth. They are also mentally developed to a fault, in the sense of their emotional sensitivity is not as developed. The channelings of Lyssa Royal suggests that they come from a planet called the Apex planet in the Lyran system. This was a planet that was very similar to Earth. Their spiritual growth, however, did not match their technological development which finally led to a planetary cataclysm.

The atomic explosions caused the plant life to deteriorate, which led the civilization to build underground shelters.
